The Madison Metropolitan School District spent about $100,000 for Fieldtrip to rebrand it and develop a new logo, but opted to use a free logo created by an unnamed person instead, the Cap Times reports.

While the Kentucky-based branding and advertising consulting firm worked on a new logo, fonts, graphics and more, MMSD’s legal team told the Cap Times it received the “perfect logo” from a private citizen for free.

The logo is of an “M” with the Capitol dome atop it. Inside the M is a book, one half green, the other half red.
