The Madison Metropolitan School District is hosting 14 community input sessions beginning next week as part of “Building for the Future,” a comprehensive two-year review of school attendance boundaries.

The review is designed to plan for the city’s growth and ensure equitable access to programs and opportunities across the district.

“This process only works if we hear from as many voices as possible, and that means making it easy and accessible for every family in our district to participate,” Cindy Green, assistant superintendent of strategy and innovation, said in a statement. “These sessions are an opportunity for community members to learn about the work, ask questions and share what matters most to them. Their input will directly shape the path forward.”

Madison is projected to grow by approximately 100,000 residents by 2050. With this initiative, MMSD intends to get ahead of that growth.
