The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is seeking public input ahead of the Nov. 5 election, with two referendum questions up for approval, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
This month through September, the district will hold 11 in-person meetings, which will be located at one of the schools selected for improvements, in the event that the $507 million facilities referendum passes this fall. Also up for voter approval will be a $100 million operational referendum to help cover ongoing costs such as staff salaries.
Four sessions will be open community meetings, with locations not yet set. Attendees will be provided with an overview of the district’s budget and a “dream board” by the district staff, as well as the opportunity to discuss current facility conditions. They will also fill out a survey.
The sessions are as follows, with each starting at 6 p.m.:
