The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOCA) has unveiled “Blu³eprint,” a 12,000-pound limestone sculpture designed by Faisal Abdu’Allah, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. Discussions around creating the sculpture, now installed in front of the museum at 227 State St., began in 2017 as Confederate monuments were being removed nationally. The statue is meant to serve as a “counter monument” to introduce alternative histories to public space.
