A new report from ADP Research — the research arm of a human resources management software company — ranked the metro Milwaukee area as one of the best places in the U.S. for young jobseekers.

The report collected data from over 140,000 people between 20-29 years of age at more than 27,000 employers in 55 metro areas with a minimum of one million residents. It ranked metropolitan areas based on annual wages, hiring rates and affordability.

Milwaukee came in at No. 2, behind Raleigh, North Carolina, with a hiring rate in the 98th percentile. Its hiring rate increased from 2.3% to 3.7% in the last year.

The report also placed Milwaukee’s affordability in the 70th percentile and wages in the 46th percentile.
