Sascha Dhanjal Eifler, founder of Saffi Foods, has been selected as one of 40 female founders of color to receive a $25,000 grant and virtual coaching package from the Democratizing the Friends & Family Round grant program, according to a statement from the company. Offered in partnership with Hello Alice and UBS’s Project Entrepreneur, this grant is designed to bridge the early-stage funding gap that female founders of color face. The company will use the grant to bolster its local recycling program, expand its Zero Waste line across the country, and revitalize bulk grocery sales with retail partners. In February 2021, Saffi Foods received a $10,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. for its innovative recycling program. Saffi Foods was established in 2014 and manufactures a line of oils and vinegars.
