The owner of the Maple Bar in Maple Grove, Min., stands accused of illegally selling Wisconsin-brewed Spotted Cow beer in his establishment. The beer sales are considered a federal criminal offense because the bar owner did not have a license to transport alcohol across state lines.

Beer from New Glarus Brewing Co. can only be distributed in Wisconsin, but between Feb. 20 and April 4, the bar owner allegedly purchased kegs of Spotted Cow from a liquor store in Hudson, Wis., to sell in the bar. Charges have yet to be filed.
