Madison-based Milio’s Sandwiches has been purchased by a new group with long-standing ties to the company. The new ownership group includes Brian Bergen, Timm Heller, Todd Mancusi, Tony Mancusi, and Chris Gentilli. Bergen, Heller, and the Mancusis are Madison West High School alums. Gentilli was the first Milio’s franchise owner in 2004. Milio’s was started in Madison in 1989 as Big Mike’s Super Subs. It later changed its name in 2004 when the company began franchising. The company has more than 200 employees at 21 franchise and company locations across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
