Middleton’s Newcomer Supply, which makes and distributes medical supplies nationwide, expects to move to the village of Waunakee late next year, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The company, which currently has 41 employees, could bring 80 jobs to the village by 2030.

Newcomer Supply was founded in 1986 in Oak Park, Illinois. It initially focused on sales and services for labs for histology — the microscopic study of tissue structure. The majority of upcoming hires would be laboratory positions.

The company moved to Middleton in 1994 and in 2002 expanded its space at 2505 Parview Road to 7,000 square feet.

Its new headquarters are currently under construction in Waunakee’s Business Park at 1131 Uniek Dr. Located across the street from Octopi Brewing Co., the $16 million building will be around 34,500 square feet and include a histology lab, office, and warehouse space situated on 3.25 acres. It is tentatively scheduled for completion in November 2024.

The company plans to eventually expand the headquarters to 50,000 square feet, bringing another 20 jobs.
