A 72-bed psychiatric hospital that was supposed to open by the end of 2019 has been delayed a year. Construction on Miramont Behavioral Health in Middleton has been affected by weather delays and construction should resume sometime in April, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.

Miramont is one of nine hospitals currently owned by Strategic Behavioral Health, a for-profit company based in Tennessee.

The hospital, on Deming Way in the Airport Road Business Park, will cost between $17 million and $20 million. The city of Middleton supported it with $1.2 million in tax-incremental financing. Provided there are no more delays, the hospital should open in early 2021.
