The city of Middleton is looking into the future of its airport as the fast-growing city deals with more and more requests for hangar space.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the city is already working with Mead & Hunt on possibilities that could include a longer runway or adding more hangar space, but talks are preliminary. The city has no interest in expanding the airport to accommodate commercial jets.
An Airport Master Plan Advisory Committee will present a master plan next year, but the city will not have to act on its recommendations.
