KaPloint Inc. will receive the first investment from Winnow Fund, a venture capital fund focused on investing in Wisconsin-based seed-stage companies, according to a release from the fund. Middleton-based KaPloint is an entertainment and marketing company developing a novel mobile player platform. The company was founded in 2020 and collects and gamifies real-time slot machine data from partner casinos to increase customer acquisition, engagement, and loyalty through app-based interactions. KaPloint will use the Winnow Fund investment primarily for software development, with a planned product launch yet this year. The Winnow Fund is the first Wisconsin venture capital fund founded and led solely by a woman.
