A recent survey to find the Top 220 Most Beloved Local Businesses Across the U.S. revealed Wisconsin’s top four main street businesses, including one in Madison.
Financial media company MarketBeat polled 3,004 locals to find out which classic, independently-owned businesses defined their hometown.
Mickie’s Dairy Bar in Madison was ranked the No. 2 main street business in Wisconsin. The restaurant has offered scramblers and milkshakes since 1946 and caters to Badger game-day crowds.
Other highly-ranked Wisconsin businesses include Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha (No. 1), Nelson’s Hall Bitters Pub in Washington Island (No. 3) and Manderfield’s Home Bakery in Appleton (No. 4).
