Madison utility holding company MGE reported third-quarter results on Wednesday that came in higher than the same period one year ago, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The report included a profit of $40.9 million, or $1.13 per share, on revenue of $168.5 million.
In 2023’s third quarter, those numbers were $37.9 million, $1.05, and $160.5 million, respectively.
Electric net income went up by $3.9 million compared to the third quarter last year. Among contributing factors were an increase in electric investments included in rate base and decreased fuel costs.
