MGE will build a $2.5 million, 10,000-sq.-ft. training center at 2943 Marketplace Drive on land it already owns and has a substation on. The center and outdoor areas will be used to train employees in field operations, such as digging trenches, doing substation maintenance, working with overhead power lines, climbing power poles, and detecting gas leaks. Construction should be completed by the end of the year.
