The city of Madison announced that beginning Dec. 7, Metro Transit will implement route, schedule and stop adjustments, including the closure of the South Transfer Point.

The South Transfer Point at 810 W. Badger Road will close permanently in preparation for the future Park and Badger redevelopment project.

Route B, as well as the end points for Routes G, H and O, will relocate to the new bus stops at South Park Street and Hughes Place, one block north of the current South Transfer Point.

Temporary bus shelters and benches will be installed at Park and Hughes until the new permanent shelters arrive in early 2026. Additional information on December service updates, including updated maps and schedules, is available on the city website.
