Meta signs deal for AMD graphics processing units

Meta made a deal with Nvidia for its chips last week for its AI, and now it has made a deal with Advanced Micro Devices, CNBC reported.

AMD will provide up to 6 gigawatts of graphics processing units for AI data centers.

AMD will begin shipping its MI450 GPUs in AMD’s Helios rack-scale servers later this year.

AMD stock rose 7% after the news, Meta was slightly lower and Nvidia remained even.
