On Tuesday, April 8, nurses at Meriter Hospital represented by SEIU Wisconsin will be joined by state Sen.Kelda Roys and community and labor allies at a rally to highlight their ongoing union contract negotiations with Meriter management, according to a press release. Meriter RNs are demanding improved security practices to protect all Meriter workers and patients, patient ratios that keep nurses and their patients safe and wage increases to promote retention.
The rally will take place from 1-5 p.m. at Brittingham Park, 829 W. Washington Ave., Madison.
