After several weeks of negotiations, UnityPoint Health–Meriter nurses have voted to ratify a two-year agreement, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. The unanimous vote by 850 nurses represented by SEIU Healthcare solidifies an agreement with the hospital that includes expanded paid time off, improved shift and base pay, and a greater voice in decisions.
Meriter will continue to offer other benefits to nurses including health and dental benefits, tuition assistance, child care support, and a wellness program. The union agreed to withdraw workforce allegations submitted to the National Labor Relations Board.
