The community is invited to give blood in memory of Alice Statz, who passed away in 2023 after a non-Hodgkin t-cell lymphoma diagnosis, at an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, May 31 from noon to 5:30 p.m. The drive will take place at the Waunakee Village Center at 333 S. Madison St.
The Statz family is hosting the memorial blood drive, and the Red Cross has also teamed up with Tetris to commemorate its 40th anniversary and build the blood supply for patients in need. All who donate from May 20–June 9 will receive a Tetris and Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last and be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to New York to meet Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov.
