Bailey Farms LLC in the town of Medina was ordered to pay $27,500 in fines for discharging wastewater pollutants into the upper Rock River drainage basin without a permit. The company, an animal rendering plant, also reportedly failed to submit reports and notify the DNR of a discharge, and overapplied nitrogen and chlorides to a site approved for spreading pollutants.
