MCD Inc., a Madison-based graphic arts products and finishing company, has announced that it has transferred ownership of the company to its 57 full-time employees through an employee stock ownership plan.
The company was founded in 1972, with Dave Boyer and Joan Philip taking ownership in 1998. The company’s leadership now transitions from Boyer, former CEO and owner, to Bryon Johnson, who has been appointed president and CEO by MCD’s board of directors. Johnson has been with the company for more than 20 years.
