Gov. Tony Evers announced $59.5 million in innovation grants to technical colleges, including a $2.9 million grant to Madison Area Technical College (MATC), according to a release posted on WisBusiness.com. MATC will use the grant to address two significant pandemic-related workforce issues in south-central Wisconsin, including child care and skills training for in-demand jobs in advanced manufacturing, health care, and information technology.
