At an informational session, Madison residents and members of the city’s Urban Design Commission voiced concerns about a $90 million apartment development near Tenney Park, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The four-building complex, proposed for Sherman Avenue near the park and the Yahara River, would raze a two-story office building at 1617 Sherman Ave. and offer residents views of Lake Mendota. However, concerns over environmental impacts, increased traffic, and aesthetic changes to the neighborhood could alter the 445-unit, market-rate apartment project.
