Delta Dental of Wisconsin has awarded $1.1 million to the Marshfield Clinic for the study of how dental health affects other parts of the body. Of particular interest in the study will be the relationship between oral health and conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and preterm births. About 2,000 patients will be enrolled in the two-year study.
