Republican Gov. Scott Walker has opened a three-point lead over Democrat Mary Burke among likely voters, according to the latest Marquette University Law School poll, but the two are tied among registered voters.

The results of the new poll, released Wednesday in a live presentation at Marquette, show Walker leading Burke among likely voters, 49% to 46%. The two candidates are tied, 46% to 46%, among registered voters.

Those results show some movement from the previous poll in late August, when Walker led among registered voters, 47.5% to 44.1%, and Burke led among likely voters, 48.6% to 46.5%.
