Democrat David Crowley leads Republican Tom Tiffany 49-44 among likely voters in the first Marquette Law Poll of the general election.
The poll, released Wednesday, has the two candidates tied at 44 among registered voters.
Crowley is the Milwaukee County Executive, while Tiffany represents Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Pollsters for Marquette Law Poll were in the field between Aug. 12-20.
The Marquette poll’s results were similar to the findings of an earlier poll of likely voters by Badger Battleground Poll, which showed Crowley leading Tiffany 48-44.
