Manager gets six months for theft

The former general manager of Market Street Diner at 101 Market St., Sun Prairie, was given a six-month jail term as part of a sentence she will serve for stealing nearly $200,000 from the restaurant while managing the business, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal. 

Debra L. Riphahn-Vera, 55, worked for the Food Fight-owned restaurant for eight years until she was fired in January 2016 after it was discovered she had been taking cash from the restaurant.
