According to NBC15, a man accused of killing a co-worker in Janesville last year was sentenced Thursday. Kevin Todd is set to serve a 30-year prison sentence followed by 10 years of extended supervision, with no option for early release.

The sentencing comes as a result of a 2022 incident in which Todd shot and killed Devon Hills at their workplace, Precision Metals. Todd pled guilty to second degree intentional homicide in Rock County court earlier this year. The prosecution and Todd’s defense attorneys had come to a joint recommendation for the 30 year sentence, citing Todd’s lack of a previous criminal record but also acknowledging the heinous nature of the crime.
