The Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP) recently announced the upcoming National Science Foundation (NSF) Resiliency Innovation Engine Public Roadshow, which will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 9–11 a.m. The event will take place at the MGE Innovation Center at 510 Charmany Drive in room 50 on the lower level.
A team led by The Water Council, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit, has received a Development Award from the NSF to plan a Regional Innovation Engine in Wisconsin. The goal is to facilitate solutions for manufacturers and utilities to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change through water and energy innovation. At the end of the two-year planning cycle, the team will apply for a Launch Grant from NSF that could provide up to $160 million over 10 years.
Additionally, on May 2, 2024 at Monona Terrace, the annual Madison Region Economic Development and Diversity Summit will celebrate the 11th year of continued partnership between MadREP and the Urban League of Greater Madison.
