On Thursday, May 23, Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and RENEW Wisconsin announced the launch of MadiSUN’s 2024 solar programs, the city’s initiative to expand solar energy for local homes, businesses, affordable housing providers, and nonprofits.
MadiSUN offers three key programs: Solar Group Buy for Homes, Solar for Business, and the Backyard Solar program. To date, they have added nearly 5 MW of solar energy to Madison’s electric mix, with a total investment of over $8 million.
Centro Hispano of Dane County received a $10,000 Backyard Solar Grant in 2023 for its 67.5-kW solar array.
