According to the DeForest Times-Tribune, Young Blood Beer Co. is planning a future expansion into DeForest’s Savannah Brooks housing development. Young Blood’s Head of Operations Tom Dufek presented the brewery’s plans to the DeForest Village Board on Oct. 3.

Plans include the construction of a two-story building that will house brewing operations and a taproom with up to 220 seats and a four-season patio. In addition to serving food and beer, the company hopes to offer brewery tours as well.

The new taproom will join two others in the area, one on North Street and the other on King Street in downtown Madison. The Young Blood team is aiming to break ground before next spring.
