Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison will launch its second annual Room for Comfort campaign, which runs throughout April.

The campaign’s goal is to fund an anticipated 3,000 hotel nights needed for families with children who need medical care at a Madison area hospital.

According to a statement, RMHC-Madison has been operating over capacity for several years. Last year, the House averaged a 121% occupancy rate and provided over 2,800 hotel nights to extend its services when full.

“After the incredible community support in 2025, we’re excited to bring back Room for Comfort,” Stephanie Hayden, CEO at RMHC-Madison, said in a statement. “Last year, our community helped us support an additional 785 families through hotel partnerships — families who otherwise may have had nowhere to stay while their child received care. This year, we’re building on that momentum to ensure every family who needs us has a Room for Comfort.”

The Room for Comfort campaign has already partnered with Exact Sciences, Illumina Foundation, Raymond Management Company, Kennedy Communications, Madison Gas & Electric Foundation and Numbers4Nonprofits.
