Fellow local journalism outlet Isthmus has reached a milestone: 50 years of print.
While some may consider print to be dead, Isthmus remains free on newsstands across Madison. The publication now operates as a nonprofit organization.
The latest issue, out Thursday, will feature 50 moments from Madison’s history as seen through the eyes of Isthmus’ reporters.
Editor Judith Davidoff also interviewed founding publisher Vince O’Hern and Jeff Haupt for the issue.

The publication will also host the Isthmus 50 Fest on April 18, with ticket proceeds going to Isthmus Community Media.
