Madison’s first kava bar, Rooted In Sanity Kava Lounge, is slated to open by the end of the year, according to The Capital Times. In addition to kava, a tropical root used to make psychoactive tea, the bar will serve mocktails, coffee, tea, and cacao.
The business, located at 2007 Atwood Ave., will be open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. daily. The bar will have a maximum capacity of 49 and feature swinging chairs, couches, and games at the tables.
The space will also retain current occupant SolEscape’s “salt room,” where people can receive noninvasive “halotherapy.”
