Madison’s BID announces Flock to State events starting this month

Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID) announced a series of Flock to State events and programs throughout the month of June, as part of the city’s State Street Pedestrian Mall experiment. All programming will be located in the 400–600 blocks of State Street, including Peace Park, and will be free and open to the public. New events and programming are being scheduled for later this summer and into the fall.

June programming includes:

  • Thursday, June 13, 5–9 p.m.: the Madison Night Market;

  • Monday, June 17, 4–6 p.m., Peace Park: Kids on State, Cyanotype Workshop;

  • Tuesday, June 18, 6–7:30 p.m., Peace Park and 400 block of State Street: LOVEzONE LIVE;

  • Friday, June 21, 12–6 p.m., Peace Park and Frances Street Plaza: Make Music Madison;

  • Sunday, June 23, 3–7 p.m., Peace Park: Electric Sundays;

  • Monday, June 24, 4–6 p.m., 500–600 blocks of State Street: Kids on State, Bicycle Rodeo;

  • Thursday, June 27, 4:30–6 p.m., 400 block of State Street: Yip-pe Hour, Pet Adoption Event;

  • Friday, June 28, 4–6 p.m., Peace Park and 400 block of State Street: Police in the Park, MPD;

  • Saturday, June 29, 1–5 p.m., 400 block of State Street: Flock to the Block;

  • Saturday, June 29, 5:30–8:30 p.m., Hawk’s Bar & Grill, 400 block of State Street: Forward Madison Watch Party; and
