Madison Youth Arts Center has appointed Svetlin Borisov as its new executive director, who officially joined the organization on Jan. 26.

“The board conducted a thoughtful and deliberate search focused on what MYArts needs next,” Pam Krill, president of the Madison Youth Arts Center board of directors, said in a statement. “As the center enters its next phase, we are excited by the strategic insight, curiosity and energy Svetlin brings to stewarding this community asset.”

Borisov has over two decades of leadership experience across education, health care, community development and cultural environments. His work has focused on building strong infrastructure and fostering collaboration.

According to Krill, Borisov’s experience and approach align closely with the organization’s role as “steward of a shared home for youth arts while his values and leadership style square with the demands of leading with clarity and care in a complex, partnership-based environment.”
