Madison to premiere documentary on Black renaissance

The premiere of a new documentary, Leaders of Madison’s Black Renaissance, is planned for Feb. 26, at 7 p.m., at the Overture Center for the Arts’ Capitol Theater. The film by retired Edgewood College professor Dr. Chuck Taylor introduces nearly 40 of Madison’s leaders in 10 different fields as they define what is happening in Madison and what it means to the city’s future. Sponsored by Housing Ministries of Wisconsin, Roar Enterprises Inc., Overture Center for the Arts, UW Health, and American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, the event will be free to the public. Reservations are required and available online on a first-come, first-served basis.
