In June, the Madison School Board voted to end its relationship with the Madison Police Department, and this week, the Madison City Council voted to finalize that decision in a nearly unanimous vote, according to a Capital Timesreport.
The decision terminates Madison Metropolitan School District’s contract to provide school resource officers at the city’s four high schools. The four officers have been reassigned to patrol duties.
