The Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s (HDSA) Wisconsin Chapter hosted the Madison Team Hope Walk/Run on Sunday, Aug. 16 at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg. It was a different event for a different year, but families still came out, wore masks, kept their distance, and celebrated hope for a cure.

Team Hope is HDSA’s largest national grassroots fundraising event. Thousands of families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and communities walk together each year to support HDSA’s fight to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington’s Disease (HD) and their families. HD is a fatal genetic disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain. In Wisconsin, the total HD population is more than 5,000.
