Wisconsin Business World — a program of WMC Foundation — announced the six winners of its second annual Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology (MET) awards program, which included one teacher from Madison’s One City Prep. The program, sponsored by Plexus Corp., recognizes outstanding Wisconsin high school and middle school teachers who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing manufacturing, engineering, and technology principles in their classrooms.
After a nomination and application period, winning teachers were selected by an independent panel of judges based on curriculum, classroom projects, teaching philosophy, and more. Cash prizes were awarded to first, second, and third place winners in both the high school and middle school categories.
2024 MET award winners include high school educators Jeff Deglopper of Muskego High School (first place), Ryan Osterberg of Brookfield Central High School (second place), and Matthew Schultz of The Lincoln Academy (third place); as well as middle school educators Todd Sobczyk of Lake Denoon Middle School (first place), Devalyn Rogers of One City Prep Academy (second place), and William Trudell of New Berlin West Middle School (third place).
The six winners of this year’s MET awards program will be recognized at a ceremony at Plexus in Neenah on April 30.
