Pill Skills, a startup created by sisters Marissa and Samatha Harkness, is among 12 Wisconsin startups to receive funding and support from the Ideadvance Seed Fund, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The company founded in 2020 creates products to teach adults and children how to most effectively take medications and vitamins. The $15,000 funding will be awarded as the founders complete Ideadvance programming. The education track requirement helps reduce risks for applicants and ensures responsible growth. Ideadvance is a partnership between the UW System’s Center for Technology Commercialization and Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and it has awarded $2.65 million in grants to 73 applicants since its inception in 2014.
