Madison startup raises $14 million in Series A funding

Madison-based Polco, a government technology startup, announced it has raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Mercury, with participation from BAT Ventures and Royal Street Ventures. Polco’s technology is designed to provide unique data to enhance local governance and community livability across the nation. Polco currently works with over 1,400 local governments and municipalities, including: Fort Collins, Colorado; San Jose and Sacramento, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Jupiter Beach, Florida; and Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In tandem with the funding, Polco will be launching its Government Partnership for Action and Learning (GPAL) integration for local governments.
