A time-saving medical imaging product from Madison startup RadUnity received FDA clearance and can now be commercially distributed, according to WisBusiness. The federal agency approved the company’s 510(k) Class II Medical Device application, which will allow RadUnity to obtain additional funding and expand its team.
The startup was launched in 2023 by Tim Szczykutowicz, who is also an associate professor of radiology at UW–Madison, based on Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation-patented research. RadUnity works to address inconsistency in medical imaging through its software platform.
