The hourly workers at Starbucks, 1 E. Main St., petitioned the National Labor Relations Board for a union representation election, according to a release from Starbucks Workers United and The Chicago and Midwest Regional Joint Board of Workers United. Starbucks workers have recently elected Workers United to represent them at locations in Buffalo, New York, Seattle, and Mesa, Arizona. The filing from the workers at the 1 E. Main St. location makes it the first store in Madison to organize.
