Thanks to support from the state and the Madison Senior Center Foundation, the Madison Senior Center at 330 West Mifflin Street will have a new mural in 2026.

The West Mifflin Community Mural project was prompted by a community desire for a brighter environment for dining and programming.

The new mural will provide that, but also allow for older adults to plan and paint a piece of the art.

DAMA (Developing Artists, Murals, and Alliances) is conducting a survey of Madison’s older adults to help determine the themes in the mural. Community members can share their thoughts through Jan. 2.

An artist is yet to be selected. After a design is created, the Madison Senior Center will hold two public painting events.

A mural unveiling will be held in June 2026.
