The biggest influx of technology workers in the country has been to Madison, according to a Big Technology report. Madison was gaining 1.02 tech workers for each one that left last year, and now that rate is 1.77. It’s a 74% jump over the year prior.
Other Midwest cities, including Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Cleveland, Ohio, have also reduced the rate at which tech workers were leaving. New LinkedIn data examines several hundred thousand tech workers in the U.S. and breaks down the ratio at which they’re moving into a city vs. moving out. The data ranges from April to October, comparing 2020 with 2019.
