The Madison+ Ruby conference, an event bringing together Ruby programming language enthusiasts from across the country and beyond, is set to return after a five-year hiatus. Event organizers report the intimate, single-track show will be held Aug. 1–2 at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison.

Ruby is mainly used to build powerful web applications quickly in a simpler and more productive way. It’s best known for its connection to Ruby on Rails, a server-side web application framework that remains one of the most popular development environments. At the close of 2022, there were 2.4 million Ruby developers worldwide, and according to Hired’s 2023 State of Software Engineers report, Ruby on Rails was the most in-demand skill for software engineering roles.

Madison+ Ruby is a premier event for the Ruby community, offering opportunities for learning, networking, and professional development. Attendees can explore Ruby trends and technologies, engage with industry experts, and enjoy social activities.
