Madison restaurateur Ben Roberts, who owns Pasqual’s Cantina, is opening a Latin American-inspired restaurant in the city’s new Moxy hotel, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Atico will open on the eighth floor of the hotel at 823 E. Washington Ave. by late fall.
The news comes after Roberts opened Taberna Tacos & Tequila on Monroe Street in May. He partnered with Alin Stupinean for both Taberna and Atico.
Atico will have a 150-person seating capacity indoors and 60 outdoors. It will be a lounge-style spot with a focus on cocktails and a small food menu distinct from Roberts’ other restaurants.
