Madison Reading Project announced its 2024 impact numbers. The organization gave 131,214 books to children, educators, and families over the year.
Among other highlights, the nonprofit:

Launched its new accessible book bus, allowing it to serve more kids and expand its reach;

Supported 1,032 educators with new, diverse books to build classroom libraries and resources through its Books for Educators program;

Gave free books each month to over 12,000 of Dane County’s youngest readers through its partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with support from the Roots & Wings Foundation;

Continued to grow relationships with its out-of-school time partners, including MSCR and WI Youth Co.; andÂ

Hosted 30 Free Book Fairs in local schools, giving free books to 12,119 school-age readers.
